Framed
Original pattern by Susan Gater This pattern has not been tested. Check for errata on the Ravelry pattern page or asparagusmayonnaise.blogspot.com

Framed is a sideways knitted kerchief-style shawl in the same spirit as the popular Baktus. Panels of trellis lace are framed by strips of garter stitch, and the whole scarf is framed in I-cord, making clean, tailored edges. Framed can be made with any weight yarn and in any size - it is very versatile and it's all up toyou! Sample pictured was made using 2 skeins (370 yds) of fingering weight Serenity Garden by Premier Yarns on size US8 (5mm) needles. Gauge: 16 stitches and 16 rows in pattern, blocked = 4 inches. Finished size of sample was 72"x18". Framed is fully charted, using four charts that work logically through the pattern. There are also written instructions for each section. It is mentioned in the written directions, but please note that since the even (wrong side) rows are the same throughout the pattern, written instructions for those rows are displayed once, then even numbers are skipped.
