Materials:
-1 skein, Fannie's Fingering Weight from Farmhouse Yarns -Size F crochet hook -Locking stitch markers (optional - can be used to hold your place)
Abbreviations:
ch $=$ chain $\mathtt{d c}=$ double crochet tch $=$ turning chain
Directions:
Chain 40 (or any multiple off $2s t s+6$ $\mathbf{1^{st}}$ row: Skip 5 ch, $^{\ast}1$ dc in next ch, 1 ch, skip 1 ch; repeat from \* to last st, 1 dc in last ch, turn. $\geq^{\mathsf{n d}}$ row: 4 ch, skip first dc, $^{\ast}1$ dc in next dc, 1 ch; repeat from \* to last st, 1 dc in $3^{\mathsf{r d}}$ cCh of tch, turn. Repeat $2^{\mathsf{n d}}$ row until the scarf is as long as the recipient (for example, if you're making the scarf for yourself, and you are 5 feet tall, stop at 60 inches). Fasten off. Enjoy!
