Fremgangsmate:
Denne halsen strikkes pa rundpinne, slik den blir dobbel. Endene maskes sammen til slutten. Legg opp 90 masker med restegarn pa rundpinne 40 cm, storrelse 3,5 mm. Strikk 2 omganger for det byttes over til alpakka-garn. Fargerekkefolgen pa stripene er: lys beige, mellombrun, morkgra, hvit, mork brun, olivengra. Strikk 8 omganger i hver farge. Totalt bestar halsen av 48 striper med 8 striper i hver farge.
Avslutning og montering:
Strikk 7 omganger pa den siste stripen. Behold halsen pa pinnene, og vreng den slik vrangen kommer ut. Fest alle lose trader bortsett fra det som ble strikket forst med restegarn og traden pa den siste stripen. Nar tradene er festet, vrenges halsen tilbake pa rettsiden igjen. Fjern det som er strikket av restegarn i begynnelsen og plukk opp 90 m fra den forste stripen, sett maskene inn pa en rundpinne, slik du har en rundpinne i hver ende. Disse endene skal na maskes sammen. Brett halsen i to pa tvers slik at pinnen med den siste stripen (med 7 omganger) ligger overst. Pass pa a ikke vri halsen. Bruk garn fra denne fargen til a maske sammen, slik alle stripene blir like brede. Mask sammen de to endene. En fremgangsmate til hvordan det gjores kan ses her. You need approximately 30 g of each colour. Total: 180 g (\~540 m) Sandnes garn mini alpakka Pickles Pure Thin Alpaca Drops Alpaca, garnstudio Needles: 40 cm circular needle, size 3,5 mm Gauge: 22 sts pr. 10 cm (4 inches)
How to do it:
This cowl is knitted in the round on a circular needle with stockinette stitch. The ends are grafted together in the end. Cast on 90 sts with scrap yarn on a circular needle 40 cm (16 inches) size 3,5 mm. Join into a round and knit 2 rows with scrap yarn before starting on the first stripe. The colour sequence is: beige, ligh brown, dark grey, white, dark brown and olive grey. Knit 8 rows in each colour. The cowl has a total of 48 stripes with 8 stripes in each colour.
Finishing:
Knit only 7 rows when you are at your last stripe. Don't bind off just yet, but turn the cowl with the wrong side outwards and fasten all loose threads except the one knitted with scrap yarn and the one on the last stripe. When all the loose threads are fastened, turn the cowl with the right side outwards. Pick up 90 sts from the first row and remove the scrap yarn. The ends are now to be grafted. Make sure you don't twist the cowl. A tutorial for the grafting technique can be viewed here. When finished grafting the ends together, fasten the last of the loose ends and damp the mittens carefully with an iron.
