Seeds of Courage Chemo Hat

2002 Sharon E. Mooney, All Rights Reserved The tiny purl stitches above the ribbing represent the small steps - seeds - that lead to building up the courage necessary to face the trials of cancer. Just before the top decreases, you will find purl stitch “trees"- the culmination of the“planting"of all those tiny seeds of courage. Finishing

Cut yarn end to 6". Thread yarn end through yarn needle. Insert threaded needle through sts left on needles in same order as you would have knitted them. This closes the top of the hat. Pull tight and push yarn needle through to inside of hat. Weave through sts to secure. Weave in all loose yarn ends. Cut off excess yarn. Block hat, if necessary.
