With dark brown ch2, (could use a magic ring instead) Row 1- 5sc in 2nd ch from hook Row 2- inc in ea sc =10sts Row 3- Work even =10sts Row 4- (1dec ,1sc) around, sc in last =7sts Row 5- dec in 1st sc, sc in remaining=6sts, Finish off, leave tail for sewing.

With white ch2, (could use a magic ring instead) Row 1- 3sc in 2nd ch from hook Rows 2 thru 6 Work even =3sts Row 7- 1 inc, sc in rest =4sts Rows 8 thru 10- Work even Row 11- 1 inc, sc in rest =5sts Work even for 3 more rows or until measures about 3.25 inches, Finish off, Leave tail for sewing.
