The 《 magic mop 》..@

Supplies :
Kashmirelle 5 balls (75m. /50g.) Double knitted thread : 4 balls for the body of item, 1 ball for the fringes . Needles N°9 (US 13) - Gauge : 10st. = 10cm - 1 hook to the fringes. Note : I used wool I had in store, but you will benefit from using a thicker wool thread knitted with N°8 (Us ) or N°9 (US 13) needles... So it will not be necessary to double the yarn for knitting or for fringes. In this case, you'll only need approximately 225m. of yarn.
Directions:
Cast on 30 st. with double thread and knit for 80 cm Loosely bind off all stitches as follows : K1, \*K1, transfer 2 stitches back to left hand needle, K2 tog through back loops, repeat from \* to end. Weave in all ends.
Finitions :
Cut strands of wool, the length will depend on your tastes .. + or - long ...(just try ...) Fold in half, then insert them with a hook on 3 sides of the structure (the 2 long sides + one short) into fringes. Well, it's done! Enjoy draping this "funny mop" in a way that pleases you around your neck and parade proudly during the cold days of winter .. Personally, I use a shawl pin to fix my work around my neck ... Preferred to a button because leaving more opportunities to change the way to bundle up ..
Happy knitting !
Lot of fun to wear this cowl or to offer it.. Mamie-Thé @
