Materials:
Blue Sky Alpaca Worsted Cotton; Main Colour 225yrds (2 skeins in colour Jasper) and Contrasting Colour 120yrds (1 skein in colour Pumpkin) Tapestryneedle
Gauge and Needles:
14.5sts/20 rows = 4" in Stockinette stitch on US 9/5.5mm needles or size needed for accurate gauge on at least a 40" cable
Pattern
Main Colour
The first piece is knit in the round. Cast on 170 stitches, join, placing marker, being careful not to twist. Knit 2 rounds Purl 2 rounds Knit 4 rounds Purl 4 rounds \*Knit 2 rounds \*Purl 2 rounds Repeat last two lines (\*) two more times. Knit 2 rounds Purl 4 rounds Knit 4 rounds Purl 2 rounds Knit 2 rounds

Bind off in knit stitch.
Contrasting Colour
This piece will not be joined, but knit straight so that it can be wrapped around and then joined at the end. Cast on 200 stitches. Knit 1 row Purl 1 row Purl 1 row Knit 1 row Knit 1 row Purl 1 row Purl 1 row Knit 1 row Knit 1 row Purl 1 row Purl 1 row Knit 1 row Knit 1 row Purl 1 row Bind off in purl stitch, leaving a 10" tail to join ends together.
