Gauge: 22 sts, 28 rows Stockinette / 4" Yarn: Classic Alpaca by The Alpaca Yarn Co.
Needles:
US 3(3.25mm) 16" Circular US 6 (4mm) 16" Circular US 6(4mm) 16" DPNs
Pattern:
Cast on 132 sts using larger needle. Join and place stitch marker at beginning of round. Using smaller needles, work [K2, P2] ribbing until piece measures 1". Switch to larger circular needle and continue in pattern until piece measures 8" from beginning.
Cap shaping:
Round 1: (K2, P2Tog) across. (99 sts.) Round 2: (K2, P1) across. Round 3: (K2tog, P1) across. (66 sts.) Round 4: (K1, P1) across. Round 5: K1, (P3Tog, K1) across to last stitch. P1. (34 sts.) Round 6: (K1, P1) across. Repeat rounds 5 and 6 twice more. Pull thread through remaining stitches and secure.
Finishing:
Weave in loose ends.
