K - knit P -purl PM - place marker SM - slip marker RS - right side WS - wrong side \*Stretchy Bind Off: K 1, \*YO, K 1, with left hand needle lift first knit stitch and YO together over last knitted stitch\*. Repeat \* to \*. Yarn: 1 Ball Cascade Fixations / 100 yards per ball/ 98.3% cotton, 1.7% elastic Needles: Size US 7 Knitting Needles Ring Markers: 2 Darning needle Gauge: Approximately 5 stitches to 1 inch

Note:

\*\*Stretchy Cast On: E or Loop cast on to use over bound off area. Make loop around thumb and place on right hand needle. Repeat for designated number of stitches. Size : S (0-6 months) -M (6-12 months) 1. This bib was done using a garter stitch border with stockinette stitch in the center. Feel free to experiment with your favorite stitch patterns. 2. If not using stretchy bind off - you may use larger needle to bind off for head opening to help maintain looseness. 3. Added benefit: because yarn is mainly cotton you may use bib as a face cloth for baby after meal. Using the long tail (or your favorite) cast on - Cast on 36 (46) stitches Bottom Border: Knit 7 rows.

Front Panel:

Row 1 RS: K 4, PM, K 28 (38), PM, K4. Row 2 WS: K 4, SM, P 28 (38), SM, K4. Row 3 RS: Knit across row slipping marker when you come to them. Repeat rows 2 and 3 until knitting measures approximately 4.5 - 5 (5.5 - 6) inches from beginning. End with Row 2 WS.

Neckline Pattern:

Row 4 RS: Knit. Row 5 WS: K 4, SM, P 2 (4), K 24 (30), SM, P 2 (4), K 4. Repeat rows 4 and 5 three more times. Key:

Head Opening:

Row 6 RS: K 8 (10), using \*stretchy bind off - or using larger needle and binding off regularly - bind off 20 (26) stitches, K to end . Row 7 WS: K 4, P 2 (4), K 2, using \*\*stretchy cast on - or using larger needle and your favorite cast on - cast on 20 (26) stitches, K 2, P 2 (4), K 4.

Back Neckline Pattern:

Row 8 RS: Knit. Row 9 WS: K 4, SM, P 2 (4), K 24 (30), SM, P 2 (4), K 4. Repeat rows 8 and 9 three more times.

Back Panel:

Row 10 RS: Knit Row 11 WS: K 4, SM, P 28 (38), SM, K4. Repeat Rows 10 and 11 for 1/2 (1) inch. Work 8 rows knitting all stitches. Bindoff.Weaveends.
