The Maureen Scarf is a reversible ribbed cable scarf with no right or wrong sides--both sides are the same! Made in Yarn Hollow Brocade yarn, this scarf is sumptuous and silky. The pattern repeats are easy to remember, so once you begin knitting this scarf, you won't wanttostop!

Note about knitted-in I-cord:

I-Cord edge is worked while the scarf is knit. To do this, slip the last three stitches of each row. At the beginning of the next row, work the stitches as they face you, so on a Wrong Side row, Purl the first three stitches that were slipped in the previous row, and on a Right Side Row, knit the first three stitches that were slipped in the previous row. Cast On 40 stitches using your favorite cast on method. Row 1: (Right Side): K3, PM to delineate I-Cord edge, P1, (K1,P1) 2 times, P1,\* (K1,P1) 4 times, P1, (K1, P1) 2 times, P1; Repeat from \* 2 times, PM, YB, slip last 3 stitches. Row 2: (Wrong Side): P3 stitches, MM, P1, (K1,P1) 2 times, P1,\* (K1,P1) 4 times, P1, (K1, P1) 2 times, P1; Repeat from \* 2 times total; MM, YF, Slip last 3 stitches Row 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, 15, 17 (All Right Side Rows EXCEPT ROw 9) : Repeat Row 1, slipping marker from left needle to right needle where appropriate. Row 4, 8, 10, 14, 16: (All Wrong Side Rows EXCEPT ROWS 6, 12, and 18): Repeat Row2. Row 6: P3, MM, P1, 4 RRC, P1, \* (K1,P1) 4 times, P1, 4RRC, P1; Repeat from \* 2 times, MM, YF, slip last 3 stitches. Row 9: (Right Side), K3, MM, P1, (K1, P1) 2 times, P1, \* 8RRC, P1, (K1,P1) 2 times, P1; Repeat from \* 2 times total; MM, YB, Slip last three stitches. Row 12: Repeat Row 6.
