K 1 color B, k 1 color A around for 1 1/2 inches then follow chart 2
Heel Flap
K back and forth on the next 34 stitches for heel flap from chart 3; do not slip 1st st
Turn Heel
With color A only Row 1: sl 1, k19, ssk, k1, turn Row 2: sl 1, p7, p2tog, p1, turn Row 3: sl 1, k8, ssk, k1, turn Continue knitting and purling one more stitch for each row until all stitches are worked. 20 Stitch remain.
Gusset
K 20 heel stitches; pick up 20 stitches with color A, (join in B) k B in B and A in A across instep, pick up 20 stitches with color A; K heel stitches and gusset stitches with A stop before instep; Do not break yarn Go back to color B: K1, ssk, k gusset and heel, k to 3 before instep, k2tog, k1; Now color A and color B are at the same point Row 1: k chart 4 for instep and k A in A and B in B around sole Row 2: k 1 B, ssk w/ A, k B in B, kA in A until 3 sts before instep, k2tog w/ B and k1 A Repeat Row 1 and 2 until 34 sole stitches remain. 68 total stitches
Foot
e in k1 color B, k1 color A pattern until 4 inches short of total foot lengt Knit from Chart 5. Drop color B and knit row 1 of chart with color A and across all sole stitches. Beginning with row 2, work both color A and B across chart and continue to kA in A and B in B across sole.
Toe
Knit with color A and cut color B leaving tail to weave in Row 1: k1, ssk, kto 3 before sole, k2tog, k1; k1, ssk, k to three before instep, k2tog, k1 Row 2: k all with A Repeat these 2 rows until 28 total stitches remain; Kitchener toe closed. Knit sock #2 - Wear and enjoy!
