Stranded sampler scarf

This scarf makes use of geometric patterns both original and traditional to Scandinavian and Fair-lsle knitting and is a good way to practise stranded knitting. Separate patterns for each side of the scarf provide added interest to the knitter whilst the interspersed plain bands offer a degree of respite. The scar's double thickness in a fairly fine gauge gives warmth without sacrificing flexibility.
