Gauge:
Feel free to make these socks with whacky self-striping yarn or even a solid color. Any fingering weight sock yarn will work for these socks. These socks are fun to knit. They are knitted from the top down, with a heel flap and basic toe. The leg portion of the socks have an easy YO pattern stitch to add a bit of interest. These socks remind me of the slouchy socks of the 80's and early 90's. You can wear them up or push them down to scrunch around your ankles. I named these socks “Hard Candy" due to the colors in the self-striping yarn. Lemon, Lime, Orange, etc. 32 sts/38 rows = 4” in stockinette stitch, on US # 2 needles.
Helpful Notes:
When referring to “next needle it means the needle immediately to the left of working needle. I numbered the needle 1-3. The numbers follow the ""'immediately to the left'? rule. All slip sts are slipped purl-wise, unless otherwise specified.
