Want to bang out an awesome pair of fingerless mitts? Then take a super bulky yarn and 10mm double point needles and get going on this fun and fast project! This pattern features ribbing, broken ribbing, and a flat, stockinette palm. Don't let the jibber-jabber fool you; this is an easy pattern!

Materials:

1 skein of Malabrigo Rasta (shown) OR 2 skeins of Blue Sky Alpacas Bulky OR 1 skein of Berroco Brio 1 set of 10 mm Double Point Needles 1 large darning needle for finishing

CO Cast on dpn Double point needles K Knit P Purl Round When you knit every stitch on all needles, you have finished one round \*\* The pattern is asking you to repeat a larger pattern sequence a number of times [] sequence

Pattern:

1. CO 18 sts evenly over 3 dpn needles 2. K1 P1 for 12 rounds (that's the ribbing!) 3. \*K9, [P1,K1] to last st, P1 4. K one round even\* 5. Repeat pattern between the \*\* 4 more times (total of 10 rounds from the cuff, that's the broken rib pattern!)

Thumbhole for Left Mitten:

1. K7, cast off 4, continue in broken rib pattern to end of round, ending with a purl s 2. K7, CO 2 sts using simple back loop, K to end of round (16 sts) 3. \*K8, [K1,P1] to end of round 4. K1 round even\* 5. Repeat pattern between the \*\* 3 more times (total of 8 rounds from thumbhole) 6. Cast off all stitches and weave in the ends

Thumbhole for Right Mitten:

1. K9, continue in broken rib pattern to the last 2 sts on the 3rd needle, cast off 4 sts - that's the last 2 sts from the 3rd needle and the first 2 sts from the first needle. 2. After casting off the 4 sts, continue to knit every st in the round, and then CO 2 sts onto needle 3 using the simple back loop. 3. Then rearrange your stitches as follows: a. Needle 1 -4 sts b. Needle 2 - 6 sts c. Needle 3 - 6 sts (the last 2 of these are your new cast on sts) 4. \*K7, [P1, K1] to last st, K1 5. K1 round even\* 6. Repeat pattern between the \*\* 3 more times (total of 8 rounds from the thumbhole) 7. Cast off all sts and weave in the ends.
