
Seraphina Baby Blanket

The pattern is written for both worsted weight and bulky weight yarns. Pick out six colors of worsted weight yarn or five colors of bulky weight yarn. The pattern is quick and easy to knit on the go.
Yarn:
Worsted: Knit Picks Comfy Worsted (1 each of Overcast Heather, Barley Heather, Cardinal Heather, Finnley Heather, Sweat Pea Heather, and Fizz Heather; 109 yards/50 grams; 75% Cotton/25% Acrylic) Bulky: Knit Picks Biggo (1 each of Bare, Dove Heather, Asphalt Heather, Wonderland Heather, Duchess Heather; 110 yards/100 grams; 50% Merino/50% Nylon)
Needles:
Worsted Weight: US 8 24" Circular Needles Bulky Weight: US 10.5 24" Circular Needles
Gauge:
Worsted: 15 stitches X 24 rows = 4 inches in double seed stitch Bulky: 10 stiches X 18 rows = 4 inches in double seed stitch
Finished Dimensions (after blocking):
Worsted: 29 inches X 37 inches Bulky: 28 inches X 35 inches
Double Seed Stitch (over 90 stitches)
Row 1: K2, P2 across Row 2: P2, K2 across Row 3: P2, K2 across Row 4: K2, P2 across
Worsted Weight Pattern (6 Colors/Stripes)
Using US 8 Needles and Color 1 cast on 90 Stitches Using Color 1 Repeat 4 rows of double seed stitch 10 times. Switch to color 2. Knit ten repeats of double seed stitch with color 2. Repeat this process for the remaining 4 colors. Cast off 90 stitches.
Bulky Weight Pattern (5 Colors/Stripes)
Using US 10.5 Needles and Color 1 cast on 90 Stitches Knit 6 repeats of double seed stitch. Knit rows 1 and 2 from double seed stitch pattern. Switch to Color 2. Knit rows 3 and 4 from double seed stitch pattern. Knit six repeats from double seed stitch pattern. Switch to Color 3. Knit 6 repeats of double seed stitch. Knit rows 1 and 2 from double seed stitch pattern. Switch to Color 4. Knit rows 3 and 4 from double seed stitch pattern. Knit six repeats from double seed stitch pattern. Switch to Color 5. Knit 6 repeats of double seed stitch. Knit rows 1 and 2 from double seed stitch pattern Cast off 90 stitches. \*If you knit loose I would recommend only knitting 6 repeats of the double seed stitch pattern before switching to the next color so you don't run out of yarn. Weave in any loose ends. Wash, block, and enjoy!
