The center stitch of decreasing stays at the same column of stitches all the time. You can use st markers to help. · The ribbing in the cap knit in finer yarn will not go even at the end of round. There will be a column of four consecutive knit sts at the changing of round spot. If you are particular about your ribbing and still want to follow the pattern, please knit in the size for thicker yarn, as the ribbing goes even in it. Cast on 172 - 16o sts. Knit in round in k 3, p 2 rib for 22 cm. Start decreasing: \*K 4o - 37, make centered double decrease: sl 2 knitwise together, k 1, pass slipped sts over. Repeat from \* three more times for a round. Next row: Continue in pattern, knit sts at decreases as they come (knit the knit sts and purl the purled ones). Decrease every other row until there's 16 - about 16 sts between two decrease points. Then decrease on every row till you have 4 - 4 to 8 sts left. Keep the decreases at the same place, as shown on the chart below. This way they don't start swirling.
