Blythe Fiesta Dress

Notions
2.75mm needles (you'll need 3 needles, so a pair and a spare) Oddments of 4ply yarn in black and pink A needle to sew up the back. Recipe In pink, Cast on 60 for ruffle. Row 1: (rs) purl Change to black Row 2: [yo, k2tog] repeat to end. Row 3: knit Row 4 : purl Row 5: k2tog to end. (30 stitches) Cut yarn with a 10cm tail and put the stitches on a spare needle .

Cast on 60 stitches for a second ruffle and work rows 1-5. Then continue on the second ruffle: Row 6: purl Row 7: Knit Row 8 purl With right sides facing you, lay the first ruffle on top of the second ruffle (the longer one) . Knit 2 stitches together, one from each needle (one from each ruffle) . These two stitches have now become one stitch on the right hand needle. Repeat to end. 30 stitches. The photo on the right shows the two ruffles being joined together. Next row: purl Continue in stocking stitch for 16 rows Decrease 8 stitches at the beginning of the next 2 rows. (14sts) Decrease 4 stitches at the beginning of the next 4 rows (6sts) Cast on 20 at the beginning of the next 2 rows (46sts) Cast off. Sew up back seam and sew in ends. Now Blythe can fiesta and you can siesta.
