Merino Superwash Chevron Scarf Pattern for Personal Non-Commercial Use by Arlene's World of Lace

Materials

Yarn Measurements Needles Notions approx. 100 g (= 350 m / 383 yds) Wollmeise yarn 100 % merino superwash approx. 160 x 18 cm / 63"x 7"(slightly blocked) 3,5 - 4 mm / US size 4 - 6 (80 cm / 32"length) or whatever size is suitable for your yarn tapestryneedle Gauge 28 sts x 36 rows = 10 x 10 cm / 4" x 4" in stitch pattern (not blocked) Correct gauge is not esential for this project unless you are working with a limited quantity of yarn. Measurements depend on how much yardage you use and how strongly you block the whole garment. Depending on the amount of yarn you use, you can adjust size to your preference. If you are a tight knitter I recommend using a larger needle size.

Notes

Selvedge stitches are included in pattern directions. To avoid loosely worked selvedge stitches be sure to work yarn snugly at the beginning and end of a row.

Pattern illustration

[stitch pattern] = Repeat the stitches between thebrackets until last two stitches of row. I suggest marking the front side of the garment (= right side) with a stitch marker or waste yarn.Front and back side of the scarf look similar.
