Poke Ball Hat
Vanna's Choice Crafter's Secret (from Hobby Lobby) You will need red, black, and white G hook Jhook Yarn needle for weaving in ends

Directions here will produce a hat that fits most adults. You may also make a looser, more modern style hat suitable for a young adult by using the larger suggested crochet hook and beginning with only 8 hdc and following the pattern as written. This will change your number of stitches in each round to a multiple of 8, and you will complete the hat with 64 stitches around. Stitches used: Slip stitch - sl st Chain stitch - ch st Single crochet - sc Half double crochet - hdc Double crochet _dc Hat is worked top-down in the round, with right side facing. Numbers in parentheses at the end of round indicate of stitches in the completed round. Chain stitch at the beginning of each round does not count as a stitch.

Button
With larger hook and white, ch 3 and sl st into first ch made to form a circle. Chain 2 and 14 dc into the circle, join with sl st to the top of the first dc. I suggest working over the loose end of the chain to be able to use it to tighten up the center. Finish off white. Join black in first dc and 2 sc in each stitch around. Finish off. Center button on the front of the hat over the black stripe (use photo for placement.) Using black yarn, secure button using preferred sewing method.
