Asssembly
Using small tapestry needle or sewing needle with fairly large eye, use white crochet thread to sew hat brim to top of cat's head at an angle over the right hand ear. (see photo) Tie or sew a short length of victory red thread around cat's neck as a collar. Use myrtle green crochet cotton to sew holly sprig to cat's throat centering on collar and positioning it as if it wear a floppy bow (see photo)
Finishing Face
Due to the nature of the way the beads are attached, t will be necessary to correct the positioning of the eyes or the cat will appear cock-eyed. With white crochet thread and sewing needle, use straight stitches to anchor the eyes into a less goofy expression. If prefered, work a stich diagonally from the outer edge of each eye, through the beads to lift the outer corners of the eyes to create a more “angry” angle as in the photo. With white crochet thread and sewing nede, work straight stitches diagonallyacross upr outer edge of each eye, forming eyelids. With hot pink crochet thread and sewing needle, sew a loose straight stitch from the inside corner of one eye to the inside corner of the other eye, tack that stitch with a very small straight stitch at a point between and below the the eyes, forming a “"v” for the cat's nose. (see photo) With black crochet thread and sewing needle, sew a loose straight stitch from under and beneath one eye to the same point under the other eye, tack that stitch with a very small straight stitch at a point just beneath the point of the pink nose, forming a downward curving line for the cat's mouth.
