SuperScarves Bulky Cowl

A little about SuperScarves: SuperScarves is part of the Bronze Award Project by Girl Scout Junior Helen Montgomery (age 9). Helen has pledged to create scarves, cowls, hats, or mitten pairs...1 per month for the calendar year to be donated to Christmas House here in Snohomish County, Washington ...and we encourage you to help her! Details can be found at www.SuperScarves.Blogspot.com If you can't contribute to Helen's project, please find someone locally who could use a little warming up and tell us all about it! Materials: approximately 130 yards of super bulky weight yarn. Shown here in Bear Creek by Kraemer Yarns colorway “Pepper Pot". Size 19 in 24" circular needles, stitch marker, and a crochet hook or darning needle for weaving in ends.
Instructions:
Using backward loop cast-on, Cast on 62 stitches. Place stitch marker and join to knit in the round; being careful not to twist. Round 1: \*K1, P1\* around Repeat this round until you are nearly out of yarn. Our cowl measured 12.5" tall. Bind off loosely in pattern. Weave in ends. Give it away to keep somebody warm!
