Crochet Pattern for Jane Doll's Red Dress Ensemble and Bikini Top with Cloche and Flower

Red Dress Ensemble and Bikini top for Jane Doll

This dress was made for a small Jane Doll (8.5 inches); by varying the hook size it should fit any size Jane Doll, just fit the dress to the doll as you go.

Materials:

-Fingering weight yarn (Knit Picks Palette) White and Red and a bit of green. -Size 1or 2 steel hooks, or C crochet hook (depending on size of doll) - Decorative button for cloche - 1/4 inch buttons for dress and bikini top Gauge: 7sc = 1 inch with size 1 or 2 steel hook.

Stitches:

Link Stitch = (ch3, dc in the third chain from the hook) repeat for as many links as required. The link' consists of a chain3 side and a double crochet side. When you are asked to 'work into the link' you work your stitches around either the chain3 side or the dc side. Crossed Double Crochet: (Skip the next st, dc in the next st, dc in the skipped stitch) repeat across the row. Crossed Picot Double Crochet: (Skip the next st, dc in the next st, picot in the top of the dc just made, dc in the skipped st) repeat across the row.

Red Dress: begins at the neckline, work eight links. Beginning chain sts do NOT count as the first St。

Bodice

1: Work five sc in each link across, ch1,turn. 40 sc 2-5: Sc in each sc across, ch1,turn. 40 sc 6: (Dividing row for armholes), sc in the next five sc, ch4, skip 10 sc, sc in the next 10 sc, ch4, skip 10 sC, sc in the last five sc, ch1,turn. 20sc and eight ch. 7: Sc in each sc and ch across, ch1, turn. 28 sc 8-14: Sc in each sc across, ch1, turn. At the end of row 14, ch2 (does NOT count as the first dc) turn. Skirt 15: (Dc in the first st, four dc in the next st) across, join, ch2, do NOT turn. 72 dc. 16: Dc in each dc around, join, ch2, do NOT turn. 72 dc 17: Crossed DC row; Dc in the first st, work Crossed Double Crochet across to the last st, dc in the last st, join, ch2, do NOT turn.. 72 dc. 18-19: Repeat round 16 20: Repeat round 17 21-22: Repeat round 16 23: Crossed Picot Double Crochet row: Dc in the first st, work Crossed Picot Double Crochet across to the last st, dc, picot in the last st. Join to the first dc and fasten off.

Sleeves:

1: Join with a sc in the last st under the arm, work Crossed Picot Double Crochet in the next ten stitches (the stitches across the top of the sleeve) sc in the last three sc under the arm, join, fasten off.

Buttonhole loops and neck edge:

1: Join yarn with a sl st in the side of the last sc at the back edge, ch4, skip next row, sl st in the next four rows, ch4, skip next row, sl st in the next 4 rows up to the neck edge, ch4, sl st in side of the first Sc at the neck edge. Design by Beth Webber. Please do not copy or sell this free pattern. Working across the neck edge in the link stitches work (three sc, picot) in each link across. Fasten off leaving a long tail to sew the buttons on. Sew three buttons opposite the buttonhole loops and the dress is done!

Cloche:

1. With white, Ch3, 12 dc in the the third ch from the hook. Join to the first dc. 12 dc 2: 2dc in each dc around. Join, ch2 24 dc 3: (Dc in the first st, 2dc in the next) around. Join, ch2. 36 dc 4: (Dc in the first two sts, 2dc in the next st) around. Join, ch2. 48 dc 5-6: Dc in each dc around, join, ch2. At the end of round 6 change to red yarn, ch1 7: Sc in each st around, join, ch2. 48 sc 8: (Dc in the first two sts, ch1, skip the next st) around, join, ch1 9: Sc in each st and ch around, change to white yarn, join, ch1. 10: (Sc in the next three sts, 2sc in the next st) around, join, ch1. 60 sc 11: (Sc in the next four sc, 2sc in the next sc) around, join, ch1. 72 sc 12-13: Sc in each sc around, join, ch1. 72 sc 14: Reverse Sc in each st around, finish off. The brim should roll up. Flower, with red yarn: 1: ch2, 10sc in the second ch from the hook, join. Ch1. 2: (Sc, ch3, skip the next st) around. Join, ch1. 5 ch3 loops. 3: Sl st into the first ch3 loop. In each ch3 loop work (sc, 3dc,sc) around. Join. Five small petals made 4: Sl st around the base of the first sc on round 2 (you will be working behind the first row of petals), (ch4, sl st around the base of the next sc in round 2) all around. Join to the first sl st. Five ch4 loops 5: Sl st into the first ch4 loop. In each ch4 loop work (sc, dc, 3trc, dc, sc) around. Five larger petals made. 6: Sl st around the bast of the next sc in round 4, ch4, sl st around the base of the next sc. Finish off. 7: Join green with a sl st in the last ch made; for the leaf work (sc, 2dc, three trc, picot, two trc, 2dc, sc, sl st) in the chain loop. Finish off and sew to the cloche. Sew a decorative button to the center of the flower.

Bikini top:

1: Ch24, sc in second ch from hook and each ch across, ch1, turn. 23 sc 2: Sc in next six sc, skip next two sc, 7dc in the next sc, skip next two sc, sl st in the next sc, skip next two sc, 7dc in the next sc, skip next two sc, sc in the last six sc, ch1, turn. 3: Sc in the next three sc, ch10 tightly, skip next six sts, sl st in the next st, sl st in the next three dc, sl st in the next sl st, sl st in the next four dc, ch10 tightly, skip next six sts, sc in the last three sc. Ch4, sl st in the first ch of the beginning ch24, sl st loosely in each ch across. Leave a long tail to sew a button opposite the buttonhole loop.
