Haterials:
Worsted Weight Yarn - White, Black and Red (I used Vanna's Choice) Scissors (to cut yarn) J/6CrochetHook Darning Needle (To Tuck in Tails) StitchMarker
Hat Base:
With Red yarn, chain 8 and connect to beginning stitch R1: Inside of chain circle, DC 12 stitches and connect R2: \*Dc 2, 2 dc in next Dc\* Repeat 6 times R3: \*Dc 3, 2 dc in next Dc\* Repeat 6 times R4: \*Dc 4, 2 dc in next Dc\* Repeat 6 times R5: \*Dc 5, 2 dc in next Dc\* Repeat 6 times R6: \*Dc 6, 2 dc in next Dc\* Repeat 6 times R7: \*Dc 7, 2 dc in next Dc\* Repeat 6 times R8-R12: Continue around in DC and Fasten off. R13-R15: Attach Black Yarn, continue to go around, fasten off. R16-R20: Attach white yarn, continue around, fasten off and sew in tail. (Make sure it covers your ears, if not, continue around until it does.)
Button (Black Part):
With Black yarn, Chain 8 and connect to beginning stitch R1: Work 12 DC inside the ring. R2: DC1, 2 DC in next until end. R3: DC2, 2 DC in next until end. R4: DC2, 3 DC in next until end, slip stitch off.
Button (hhite Part):
With White yarn, Chain 8 and connect to beginning stitch R1: Work 12 DC inside the ring. R2: DC1, 2 DC in next until end. R3: DC2, 2 DC in next until end, slip stitch off. Sew button onto the base where you attached the colors, It will cover up the uneven part.
