Malabrigo Rasta, 1 skein, 077 Belgian Chocolate or any colour yo Notions: 16" U.s. 17, 12.75 mm circular needles, cable needle (optional ), scissors, darning needle. If you don't have a 16" circular needle, you can use a longer one and use the magic loop method for knitting this cowl. Gauge: 4.5 sts. = 2" stockinette (unblocked) Instructions: Using a long tail cast on method, loosely cast on 40 sts. Join the work to knit in the round.
Round 1: Purl
Round 2: Knit

Round 3: K3, \*P2, K6 rep from \* to last 5 sts., P2, K3 Round 4: Knit Round 5: Rep Round 3 Round 6: Knit Round 7: Rep Round 3 Round 8: \*K2, move working yarn to front, slip 1 knit wise, move working yarn to back, K2, move working yarn to front, slip 1 knit wise, move working yarn to back, K2, repeat from \* to end Round 9: \* P2, move working yarn to back, slip 1 knit wise, move working yarn to front, P2, move working yarn to back, slip 1 knit wise, move working yarn to the front, P2, repeat from \* to end Round 10: K2, \* slide the next slipped stitch off left hand needle onto a cable needle toward front for safe keeping, slide next two knit stitches to right hand needle, slide the next slipped stitch off the left hand needle onto the cable needle as well. With the left hand needle, pick up the first slipped stitch off the cable needle, sliding it off the other end, slip the two knit stitches back onto the left hand needle from your right hand needle, and pick up on the last slipped stitch off the cable needle back onto the left needles. You have now swapped places of the two slipped stitches, crossing them in front of the two knit stitches. Next, knit these four stitches and knit the next four stitches, repeat from \*, to last 2 sts., K2. Round 11: Rep Round 3 Round 12: Knit Round 13: Rep Round 3 Round 14: Knit Repeat Rounds 3-14. Round 27: Rep Round 3 Round 28: Knit Round 29: Purl Cast off VERY LOOSELY until all stitches are bound off. Cut yarn and pull through last stitch. Weave in the ends.
