Knit all sitches 1l to 22 on all 4 rows. This is where the pattern can be increased or decreased.

Heel Flap

I did a garter stitch heel as follows. The heel flap will be worked on the 32 stitches on needle 2. Row 1: (Wrong Side) Knit 3, Purl to end. Row 2: (Right Side) Purl 3, \*K1, Slip1\* \*repeat to last 3 stitches, K3. Repeat rows 1 and 2, 15 more times. For a total of 16 times or 32 total rows. Heel turn - Slip stitches as if to purl. Row 1 Purl 16, Place marker, Purl 2 (2 stitches past the center), Purl two together, purl 1, turn. Row 2 Slip 1, knit 4 (2 stitches past the center), SSK, K1, turn. Row 3 Purl to I stitch before gap, Purl two together, purl 1, turn. Row 4 Knit to I stitch before gap, SK, K1, turn. Repeat rows 3 and 4 until the last two rows. Your second to last row should be a purl row, all you will be able to do is purl the two stitches together on either side of the gap and turn. Your last row is a knit row, slip the first stitch purlwise, knit to last 2 stitches, SSK them together.

Gusset

Pick up stitches on side of heel flap. With the Garter Stitch heel you will be picking up the threads between the garter bumps. Continue knitting in pattern on instep, and then pick up the stitches on the other side. The center back is now where each row starts. Now you will knit the stitches you picked up. Knit the stiftches through the back of the st, twisting to tighten them. Knit the first and last 8 stitches on either side of the center back without the twist. You will now begin the decreases which you will continue until you are back to the total of 64 stitches. Round 1: Knit until 3 stitches before the end of needle 2, K2Tog, K1. Continue pattern across needle 1, on Needle 2 again K1, SsK, knit to center back marker. Round 2: Knit all stitches on needle 2, Pattern on needle 1 and allstitches on needle 2 to center back marker. Continue knitting, alternating rounds until you are back to 64 stitches.

Foot

Continue knitting until desired length for foot. I knit untill reach the top of my little toe, then begin the toe shaping.

Toe Decreases

Round 1: Knit until 3 stitches before the end of needle 2, K2Tog, K1. On Needle 1 K1, SSK, K to 3 stitches before end of needle K2Tog, K1. On Needle 2 K1, SSK, K to center back. Round 2: Knit all stitches on needle 2, Knit across allstitches on needle 1 and Needle 2 to center back marker. Continue in rounds 1 and 2 until there are a total of 28 stitches (14 on each needle). Then knit Round 1 only until there are a total of 16 stitches, (8 on each needle). Cut a long tail and graft the stitches together. Weave in ends.
