Instructions
With smaller needles, CO 76 sts and join to knit in the round. work 5 rows of klp1 rib. Switch to larger needles. Round 1-6: \* pl, kl, p2, k12, p2, kl, repeat from \* 3 times more. Round 7: \* p1, kl, p2, sl next 6 sts onto cable needle leaving needle in front of work, k3, k 6 sts from cable needle, k3, p2, kl, repeat from \* 3 times more. Round 8-9: same as round 1. Round 10: \* p1, kl, p2, k3, sl next 6 sts onto cable needle leaving needle in front of work, k3, k 6 sts from cable needle, p2, kl, repeat from \* 3 times more. Round 11-12: same as round 1. Repeat rounds 1 to 12 twice more for beanie version, 3 times more for slouchy version.
Crown decreases
The number of remaining sts are indicated at the end of each decrease round. Round 1: \* pl, kl, p2tog, kl, pl, kl, pl, k2tog, ssk, p1, kl, p1, k1, p2tog, kl, repeat from \* 3 times more.
