Directions:
With Corron Supreme Batik, ch4. SS into first ch to form loop, ch 1. Round 1: 6 sc into loop, pm in last st of this round and move up to the last stitch of each round throughout. Round 2: 2 sc in each sc of previous round. (12 sc) Round 3: 2 sc in first sc, 1 sc in bl of next st, 2 sc through both loops of next sc, 1 sc in fl of next st, \*2 sc through both loops of next st, 1 sc in bl of next st, 2 sc through both loops of next sc, 1 sc in fl of next st,\* repeat from \* to \* to end of round. (18 sc) Round 4: 2 sc in first sc, 1 sc in bl of next st, 1 sc in fl of next st, \*2 sc through both loops of next st, 1 sc in bl of next st, 1 sc in fl of next st,\* repeat from \* to \* to end of round. (After round 15 you will just continue to crochet in the round without increasing.) Round 16 - 26: Sc through bl of first st, sc through fl of next st, around to the end of each round. At the end of round 26, remove marker and ss through the next 3 or 4 sts to even out the edge, do not fasten off. (You will continue in the same color just continue right on to next roundwithout fastening off.) Round 27: Ch 2 (does not count as a st), working under BOTH loops, hdc in each st around to the end, crocheting right over the slip stitches of the previous round, and join with a ss to the top of the first hdc. Round 32: (decrease round) Ch 1 (does not count as a st), sc 2 tog, sc in next 5 sts around, ss to join (78 sc) Note: I would suggest trying your hat at this point to determine if it fits around your head. If too tight, you may wish to try going up a hook size for the decrease round, or increase the number of stitches between each 2 sc tog. Round 34 - 38: Ch1, sc in each st around, join with a ss to first sc. (78 sc) Fasten off, weave in tail.
