WITHVBUSH TRIANGULAR SHAWL
This lovely triangular shawl uses simple feather and fan pattern with a pretty eyelet point edging. It takes just two 100 gram skeins of any of my 400 metre length sock yarns. For mine I used my Everyday Sock (75% Wool/25% Nylon) in a colourway called Creme de Menthe.
MATERIALS & NOTIONS
200 grams Handpainted Woolhunter Sock yarn circa 800 metres in total. This will make a triangular shaped shawl knitted from the top down of approx 36 inches in depth by 80 inches wide when fully blocked. 1 circular needle size 4 mm in a larger length. You may prefer to start off on straight needles for ease of knitting until the shawl is large enough to pop onto circulars. I used Knit Pro Nova's where I was able to increase the length of the "wire" as the shawl got bigger. This made it easier to see how the sizing was coming along. 1 large "eyed" tapestry needle to sew in all loose ends.
GAUGE/TENSION
Mainly unimportant but mine worked out around 20 stitches and 26 rows to 4 inches. You really could use any gauge of yarn to knit this project and adjust the needles accordingly.
ABBREVIATIONS
K =Knit: P = Purl Yo - Yarn over needle K2 tog = Knit 2 together Ssk = slip the next 2 stitches knitwise onto the right hand needle, insert left hand needle back into the stitches, knit the two together. (This makes a left slanting decrease.)

Continue in this way until you have 9 "Feather" repeats each side of the centre 3 stitches ending with a 92nd type row. Break yarn and leave stitches on circular needle.
Eyelet Point Edging
Tip: I found it easier to use one straight needle and used the circular needle as my second needle. Cast on 5 sts. Row 1: Sl1, k1, yo twice, k2 tog, k1 Row 2: Sl1, k2, p1, k1, K2 tog join (by knitting the last stitch on your needle together with one stitch from the circular needle to make a neat joint. Do this on all even numbered rows.) Row 3: Sl1, k3, yo twice, k2 Row 4: Sl1, k2, p1, k3, k2 tog join Row 5: Sl1, k1, yo twice, k2 tog, k4 Row 6: Sl1, k5, p1, k1, k2 tog join Row 7: Sl1, k8 Row 8: Cast off 4 sts, k3, k2 tog join. Repeat rows 1-8 49 times down first edge of shawl, work 3 more repeats of rows 1-8 as you turn the point of your shawl using double joints where necessary (i.e. knitting twice into the same joint) and ensuring that your 2nd repeat encompasses the centre point of your shawl; then work 49 more repeats up other side of shawl. Cast off. nd press as desired to measurements suggested at beginning of patter Wear and enjoy!
