Materials:
30 gram Drops Lace (5565 wine red) (or any lace weight yarn) set of sock knitting needles 2 mm tapestry needle serap yarn 2 stitch markers Gauge: 10 x 10 cm (4 x 4 inch) = 45 sts x 60 rows in stst Abbreviations: sts = stitches stst = stocking stitch rnd = round K =knit p=purl sl = slip tog = together psso = pass slipped stitch over mll = make I leff (pick up the bar between the last stitch you knit and the one you are about to knit, bringing the needle from the front to the back, then knit into the back of this stitch) yo = yarn over pfb = purl in front and back of stitch co = cast off

Directions:
Cast on 96 sts with a set of sock needles 2 mm. Divide sts as follows: 1st needle = 36 sts, 2nd needle = 27 sts & 3rd needle = 33 sts. Join in the round, making sure not to twist your stitches. Knit 1 round in rib pattern: K3/P3. Start following 6 rnd lace pattern: 1.\*K3, P3, (sl1, k2tog, psso), P3\* - repeat \* - \* 7 times. 2. \*K3, P3, (m1L, K1, m1L), P3\* - repeat \* - \* 7 times. 3. \*K3, P3, (K2, m1L, K1), P3\* - repeat \* - \* 7 times. 4. \*K3, P3,( k2tog, yo, k2tog), P3\* - repeat \* - \* 7 times. 5. K3, P3, K3, P3, etc 6. K3,P3,K3, P3,etC Repeat these 6 rnds until work measures approx. 13,5 cm (i worked the 6 rnd pattern 13 times in total). In the last round (= round 6), place a marker after the 39th stitch & the 48th stitch.
Increasing for thumb:
Keep working pattern as before only next to the markers you will end up with some extra increased purl sts (keep purling these extra sts you increased throughout). In next round (=round 1 of pattern) PFB in stitch after first & before second marker = 2 sts increased. Continue increasing like this every other round until you have increased 12ststotal. Now work 2 sets of the 6 rnd pattern without increases.

Divide for hand:
Continue with rnd 1 from pattern. Work all sts on the first needle, then slip next 27sts on a scrap yarn for thumb to work later. Now cast on 3 sts and finish the first rnd with the remaining sts. Continue with rnd 2 of pattern (at the end of this rnd you have 84 sts left) and rearrange the sts on the needles as follows:

1st needle (24 sts), 2nd needle (27 sts), 3rd needle (33 sts). Continu in pattern, finish the 6 rnds. Then work the 6 rnds 2 times more (or more repetitions if you want it longer). Cast off as follows: k1, co2 knitwise, co3 purlwise, co1 knitwise, k2tog, pass knitted stitch over, c03 purlwise. \*co3 knitwise, co3 purlwise, co1 knitwise, k2tog, pass knitted stitch over, c03 purlwise\* and repeat \*-\* throughout the round. Size: one size fits most
Thumb:
Facing your work with the thumb on top, transfer 10 sts from scrap yarn starting on the right side to 1st needle, transfer next 12 sts to 2nd needle, transfer last 5 sts to 3rd needle and pick up and knit 5 sts at the inside of thumb (3rd needle has 10 sts total).Continuebelow:

1. k3, p9, sl1, k2tog, psso, p9, k8 2. k3, p9, m1l, k1, m1L, p9, k8 3. k3, p9, k2, m1l, k1, p9, k8 4. k3, p9, k2tog, yfwd, k2tog, p9, k8 5. k3, p9, k3, p9, k8 6. as rnd 5

Repeat these6rowsonemoretime. Castoff asfollows: K1, co2 knitwise, co9 purlwise, co1 knitwise, k2tog, pass knitted stitch over, co9 purlwise,co8 knitwise. Sew in all loose ends and make another one (right & left hand are the same).
