Moonbeam Wrap The scoop: This Moonbeam wrap is worked in one piece. A little seaming on each side gives it the shape you need so it can be used as its name suggests. Cozy and drapey, it can be pinned or worn without one. The pattern has three sizes and knitting details in each of them. Yarn fiber is a dynamic material and this wrap will circle you with a form that is sure to please. Garment sizes: 3 sizes - petite, regular and loose. Approximate Rectangle size before folding: Petite - 53" long by 32" wide Regular - 59" long by 32" wide Loose - 67" long by 32" wide Gauge: 20 sts by 28 rows/ 4 inches with US needle size 7 Materialsneeded: (as shown) Berroco Inca Gold (80% merino/ 20% silk) 122yds/50 g per skein Petite fit - 10 skeins or 1153 yds Regular fit - 11 skeins or 1284 yds Loose size - 12 skeins or 1464 yds US #7 circular needle, size 32 to 36 inch (plus one size smaller) Stitch markers - three different colors Cable needle Blunt tapestry needle for finishing

Instructions:

The three sizes will appear as follows: petite, (regular, loose). Using the smaller size needle: Cast on 266, (294, 334) sts using long tail or any other elastic cast on method. Work 4 inches of \*K3, P1 and repeat from \*, ending K2 on RS width. On Wrong Side work P2, \*K1, P3 and repeat from \*. Now you have 4 inches - check chart for order of stitches. Change to needle needed for yarn gauge. (size 7) Place markers on each end of large cable and small cable. Use one color for large and another for the small cable. You may want to put a marker at the purl sts at the beginning to note where they are until they become more obvious. (Technique Note: when coming to the end of a skein, try to change it at the small cable. It will be easier to weave in ends at that section when the garment is finished.)

Rows 1, 5, 9 (RS): \*slip 2 sts onto CN and hold in back; k2; k2 from CN, and repeat from \* once, then K 2 sts. Rows 2,4,6,8,10,12(WS): Purl all sts Rows 3, 7,11 (RS): K 2 sts, \*slip 2 sts onto CN and hold in front; K 2, K 2 from CN and repeat from \* once.

LARGE CABLE:

For all sizes:

Work until pieces measures approximately 24 inches, ending with Row 2. (note: work it longer if you want more length in the back.) Change to smaller needle: Then work rib pattern for 4 inches (K1, P1, \*K3, P1 and repeat from \* ending P1. On Wrong Side work K1, \*K1, P3 and repeat from \*, ending K1, P1. Bind off in Knit stitch. Finishing: Fold piece in half - ribbing to ribbing - mark 7" from fold for arm opening and seam from marker (away from fold) to ribbing edge. Weave in any loose ends. Level of Difficulty: Intermediate Care Instructions: Follow those on label of fiber used. For Inca Gold: Hand wash in cool water and lay flat to dry.
