The Golden Fleece: Fun and Fast Crochet Coaster Project Using Super Bulky Feltable Wool

HE GOLDEN FLEECE

I was trying to come up with a one ball project for this yarn - a Fun colorful super bulky feltable wool - and had the idea to make a quick gift set out ofit. lt meets all the important criteria: fun, fast, useful, and a suitable gift for anyone! -Gunilla

\~Materials \~

1 ball Adriafil Crea, or similar super bulky Feltableyarn Size M, N, or similar size crochet hook Size is not critical, nor is gauge. Round coaster (make 2): Start with an adjustable ring. Chain one, and then single crochet 7 times into the ring. (8 sts) Pull ring tight so you have a circle of stitches. Start your next round in the top of the First stitch (your chain). There's no joining at the end of each round, you just go straight on to the next one, making a spiral. Note: you crochet into the top loop of the stitch only, on all rounds. 1)[2 sc in each stitch] 8 times (16) 2) [1 sc, 2 sc in the next stitch] x8 (24) 3) [2 sc, 2 sc in the next stitch] x8 (32) 4) [3 sc, 2 sc in the next stitch] x8 (40) 5) [4 sc, 2 sc in the next stitch] x8 (48)

Break yarn and tie off. (l made my coasters a smidge different; one starting with 8 sts, the other starting with 7. Make your round coasters first, then use whatever yarn you have left for the square one.)

Square coaster:

Chain 13. Starting in the second chain from the hook, sc in each chain across (12 sts). Work 7 rows of sc, or just go to desired length. Tie off. Throw your coasters in the wash, with some towels or jeans for agitation. They may need more than one round in the wash, but this is the Fun of felting-you never quite now! Do benefit From my hard earned experience though: don't toss your felting in with a load of dog blankets... 2013 Gunil Leaitt · The Golden Fleece· gunil@TheGoldenteecom · Ravely IDi godmoma / goldenfleeceLS 317Potrero Street #D, Santa Crvz, CA 95060 · 831-426-1425 · www, TheGoldentleece.com
