To save time, take time to check gaug Special Abbreviation: CDD (Centered Double Decrease): Slip 2 sts as if to k2tog, k1, pass 2 slipped sts Over k st. Center st willie on top. Pattern Note: Only RS rows are shown on chart. Purl all WS rows. SHRUG: (Make 2 halves alike) With smaller needles, cast on 59 (63) sts. Work even in k1, p1 ribbing for 4", inc 27 (30) sts on last RS row -86 (93)sts. Purl 1 row. Change to larger needles. Keeping first and last st in St st, work rem sts from chart until piece measures approx 26 (28)" long, ending with Row 15 of pat. Place sts on holder. Sew center back seam. Beg at cuff sew each sleeve seam for 12 (13) from beg.
EDGING BAND
Beg at sleeve seam with smaller circular needle, pick up and knit 3 sts for every 4 rows around entire opening. Place marker between first and last st. Work even in k1, p1 rib until band measures 1". Bind off all sts in pat.←
