Planet X Bandit Knitting Pattern: A Quick, Textured Triangular Shawl and Infinity Scarf Project

Planet X is a mid-way accessory from a triangular shawl and an infinity loop scarf. The rich texture makes stand out solid or tweedy yarns and enjoys with multicoloured and self-striping yarns. Planet X is an ideal never-boring quick knit for last minute gifts and impatient knitters! The pattern is easily adaptable to any weight of yarn and gauge, just add how many rows you want in section 1. A special thanks to my testers for their patience and help! Materials: Approx. 220/250 yards of heavy Worsted/Aran weight yarn Shown in Noro Silk Garden [45% Mohair, 45% Silk, 10% Wool]; 110 yards per 50 grams skein; 2 skeins 36" / 90cm or larger Us9/ 5.5mm circular needle 4 stitch markers yarnneedle Finished measures after blocking: Width: 46 inches/116 cm around Length: 16 12 inches/42 cm along center stitch - 5 inches/ 13cm on short sideead Gauge after blocking: 14 sts/18 rows = 4 inches in stockinette/stocking stitch 15 sts/22 rows = 4 inches in seed stitch Gauge is not crucial, but determines finished measures.

Abbreviations:

k = knit kfb = knit in front and back of stitch ktbl = knit one through back of loop p = purl pfb = purl in front and back of stitch ptbl = purl one through back of loop m1L= (Make one Left) pick up the bar between the stitches from front to back, with right needle knit this bar through the back loop. m1R =(Make one Right) lift the bar between the stitches from back to front, with right needle knit it through the front loop. st/sts = stitch/stithes TS = Twisted Stockinette (See tutorial on last page) W&T = Wrap & Turn (short rows) st/sts = stitch/stitches (cs) = center stitch RS = right side ws = wrong side M = Marker PM = Place Marker SM = Slip Marker

Twisted Stockinette Pattern [TS]

[RS] knit through back of loop (ktbl) the 2nd stitch on left-hand needle, do not slip; knit the 1st stitch on left-hand needle, then slip both stitches from left needle. [WS] purl the 2nd stitch on left-hand needle, do not slip; purl the 1st stitch on left-hand needle, then slip both stitches from left needle. Next Round 1: [p1, k1] to last st, p1, SM Next Round 2: [k1, p1] to last st, k1, SM BO loosely with your favourite stretchy BO method removing all Markers. I suggest Jeny's Surprisingly Stretchy Bind-off: yo, p1, pass yo over, \* yo, k1, pass yo and worked stitch over, yo, p1, pass yo and worked st over \* rep from \* to end.

Finishing

Gently soak and block. Weave in ends and... ENJOY!
