Yarn : 2 colors of fingering yarn Main color ± 400yd (365m) Contrasting color ± 200yd (180m) In the prototype I used 380yd of Socktopus Sokkusu Original (Tea & Monkeys) as MC and 177yd of The Plucky Knitter Primo Fingering (High Cotton) as CC Finished size : 16 " x 88 "(40 x 220cm) Needles : US 6 - 4.0 mm US 7 -4.5 mm Beads and crochet hook : 0,75mm crochet hook and approx 360 size 6/0 Miyuky beads
Abbreviations :
ssk : slip 1 stitch as if to knit,slip a second stitch as if to knit, insert left needle in the front of these 2 stitches, knit (through the back loop) s2kpsso : slip 2 stitches as if to knit together, knit the next stitch, pass the 2 slippes stitches over kpk tbl : make 3 stitches from 1 : ktbl, don't drop the stitch from the left needle, pass the yarn to the front, purl, don't drop the stitch, pass yarn to back, ktbl, drop the stitch pkp tbl: make 3 stitches from 1 : ptbl, don't drop the stitch from the left needle, pass the yarn to the back, knit, don't drop the stitch, pass yarn tot front, ptbl, drop the stitch

Instructions :
With 4mm needles and Main Color, cast on 2 stitches. Knit 5 rows. When you come to the end of the fifth row, don't turn your work, but instead pick up 1 stitch from every garter ridge on the edge, then pick up your 2 cast on stitches (7 stitches) (this video can be helpfullfor making a garter tab http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TaQHMmEIvgU ) Still using MC, k2, yo, k3, yo, k2 (9 stitches) k2, kpk tbl, k3, kpk tbl, k2 (13 stitches) Start main body, changing color every 2 rows : Row 1 : CC : k2, yo, k to last 2 stitches, yo, k2 (+2 sts) Row 2 : CC : k2, kpk tbl, k to last 3 sts, kpk tbl, k2 (+4 sts) Row 3 : MC : k2, yo, k to last 2 stitches, yo, k2 (+2 sts) Row 4 : MC : k2, kpk tbl, k to last 3 sts, kpk tbl, k2 (+4 sts) Repeat rows 1-4 until you have 17 CC stripes then rows 1-2 once more (223 sts) Knit chart A twice, still changing color every 2 rows Change to 4,5mm needles and knit chart B, using only the Main Color Bind offon the WS : k2,\*slip sts back toleft needle, ktog tbl, k1\* repeat between \*, slip sts back to left needle, ktog tbl Weave in ends, soak and block.
