(l did 10 chart repeats.) Right Thumb Gusset Work the first 9 sts as established on the chart, Purl 23, Work across next 23 sts as established on the chart, make 1 purl, place marker, work next 9 stitches as established on chart, place marker, make 1 purl. Next 2 rounds are worked without increases. )eat increases every third round till a total of 16 stitches have been increas LeftThumbGusset Make 1 purl, Place marker, work across next 9 stitches as established on chart, make 1 purl, place marker, work next 23 sts as established on chart, The next 9 stitches as established on chart and the last 23 sts are purled. Repeat increases every third round till total of 16 sts have been increasec Upperhand Place the thumb gusset on spare needle or yarn (16 sts that were increased and the 9 sts that were worked according to the chart) Continue purling the palm and working as established on the chart for the top of hand casting on 9 sts were the thumb is. Those 9 sts are purled. (you will have 32 stitches purled and 32 sts worked according to chart) Continue till measures 1 inch. Knit 1, Purl 1 rib for an inch Bind off using a stretchy bind off I used jennys surprisingly stretchy bind off. Directions for that can be found on the Knitty website. Thumb place stitches that were on hold and pick up 9 sts from the 9 sts casted on for upper hand. (34sts) Purl all sts except for the 9 sts that are worked according to the first 9 sts on the chart for an inch.
