I used Aunt Lydia's classic crochet tread - it has a lot of colors and shades, plain and ombre multicolors. Suitable crochet hook is size 4 (1.75 mm to 2.0 mm). All you need is to make crochet 2-tiers flowers - as many as you need and assemble them in one of many possible ways - combinations are unlimited! The crochet earrings can be made of 1,2,3 or more flowers and the necklace can range from single flower pendant to the all-flower necklace. Use your creativity! The approximate size of finished flower is 1 inch (2.5 cm) in diameter. The center of the flower:

CH 3, join in a ring with a slip stitch, CH 1, SC 6 in the ring, slip stitch.

First row of petals:

Make stitches in the front loop of the center only. (insert the hook under the closest to you (front) loop of the stitch). The back loop is reserved for the second row of petals.

\*\*\*CH 3 and in the same stitch: DC, TC, DC in cluster: (work in the front loop of the stitch of the round center of the flower): Begin to make a DC but when you have drawn the thread through 2 loops once, hold the two loops on the hook and begin a TC in the same stitch. Draw the thread through 2 loops only twice. And one more time begin to make a DC but hold the last loop on the hook (draw the tread through 2 loops once). There are now 4 loops on hook. Thread over and draw it through the four loops at one time. Make a slip stitch in the next stitch of the center (in the front loop of the stitch)\*\*\* and the first petal is ready! It should be puffy because you've made a TC surrounded by 2 DC stitches and the TC will pop up because of the difference in the height of the stitches. Repeat from \*\*\* to\*\*\* for 5 more petals of the first layer of the flower.

The second row of petals: Insert your crochet hook in the back loop of the stitches of the round center of the flower (right under the first row of the petals):

Assembling the crochet earrings:

Leave the tread approximately 8 in (20.5 cm) to attach the flower to the earwire or to another wire.

Pattern illustration

One-flower crochet earrings or two-flower earrings (in the last case just attach one flower to the earwire and sew another flower to the first one).

Tips: you can order hook earwires online : http://www.firemountaingems.com/earring_findings.asp?engine=Microsoft&campaign=Findings +Campaign&adgroup=Earwire+Group&keyword=[earring+supplies] Or just buy any cheap earrings at the convenience store and use hook earwires. You can also use any studs (for example, with gems or pearls) for the stud flower earrings - just insert the studs in the center of the flower.

Assembling the necklace:

For the single flower crochet pendant only: you need to make a loop for the chain (lace).

After you finish the last petal of the second row of the crochet flower : CH 10, slip stitch in the second stitch from the hook, slip stitches all along. Join the ends in a loop as shown, secure a knot and fast off.

3-flowers necklace (crochet pendant):
