Sizes
Small: to fit average woman's hand with 17.5-18.5 cm / 7-7.5" circumference. Width (flat): approx 8.75 cm / 3.5". Length: approx 18 cm / 7.25" (without cuff); 24 cm / 9.5" (with cuff). Large: to fit average man's hand with 19.5-20.5 cm / 7.75-8.25" circumference. Width (flat): approx 9.5 cm / 3.75". Length: approx 15 cm / 6" (without cuff); 22 cm / 8.75" (with cuff). It's important to check the fit of the glove wbile kniting, so try it on from time to time.

Materials
Small: 1 skein of Colour Adventures Dia Merino DK - 100% merino, 231y / 100g. Large: 1 skein of Colour Adventures Dia Worsted - 100% merino, 218y / 100g.
Needles
Small: US 4 - 3.5 mm, double-pointed needles or circular (for magic loop technique), Large: US 6 - 4.00 mm, double-pointed needles or circular (for magic loop technique), Or appropriate size to get gauge.
Other Notions
- some waste yarn and stitch holders (at least two), - stitch markers (one A and two B), - tapestry needle for weaving, - cable needle or a locking stitch marker.
Gauge
Small: 25 sts x 34 rows in Stockinette Stitch worked in the round (after steam blocking). Large: 23 sts x 32 rows in Stockinette Stitch worked in the round (after steam blocking).
Pattern Stitches

Stockinette Stitch (in the round) - knit all rounds. Twisted Rib (in the round) - multiple of 2 sts: Rnd 1: \*k1tbl, p1\*, repeat until the end of rnd. Zigzag stitch (in the round) - worked over a multiple of 4 sts. Rnd 1: \*left twist, k2\*, repeat. Rnd 2: \*k1, sl1wyb, k2\*, repeat. Rnd 3: \*k1, left twist, k1\*, repeat. Rnd 4: \*k2, sl1wyb, k1\*, repeat. Rnd 5: \*k2, left twist\*, repeat. Rnd 6: \*k3, sl1wyb\*, repeat. Rnd 7: \*k2, right twist\*, repeat. Rnd 8: \*k2, sl1wyb, k1\*, repeat. Rnd 9: \*k1, right twist, k1\*, repeat. Rnd 10: \*k1, sl1wyb, k2\*, repeat. Rnd 11: \*right twist, k2\*, repeat. Rnd 12: \*sl1wyb, k3\*, repeat.

Techniques
Magic Loop Technique - you may refer to: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BtBSmxGomPk Backwards Loop Cast On - \*Wrap yarn around left thumb from front to back and secure in palm with other fingers. Insert needle upwards through strand on thumb. Slip loop from thumb onto RH needle, pulling yarn to tighten. Rep from \* for desired number of sts.

INSTROCTIONS
Cuff (both gloves)
Using your preferred method and dpns (or circular needle for magic loop technique) CO 44 sts. Join for working in the round making sure not to twist the sts. Place marker A at the beg of rnd. Set-up rnd: \*k1tbl, p1\* around. Continue working in twisted rib as established until cuff measures 7 cm / 2.75", or your desired length. Increase rnd: m1R, k22, m1R, k until the end of rnd (2 sts increased) = 46 sts.
Left Thumb Gusset
In the next rnd you will establish zigzag pattern and start increases for thumb gusset. Rnd 1: k1, \*left twist, k2\* repeat 5 times, k until last 2 sts, pmB, m1R, pmB, k2. Rnd 2: k1, \*k1, sl1wyb, k2\* repeat 5 times, k until mB, smB, k1, smB, k2. Rnd 3: k1, \*k1, left twist, k1\*, repeat 5 times, k until mB, smB, k1, smB, k2. Rnd 4: k1, \*k2, sl1wyb, k1\*, repeat 5 times, k until mB, smB, m1R, k1, m1L, smB, k2. Rnd 5: k1, \*k2, left twist\*, repeat 5 times, k until mB, smB, k3, smB, k2. Rnd 6: k1, \*k3, sl1wyb\*, repeat 5 times, k until mB, smB, k3, smB, k2. Keep working as established increasing sts in every 3rd rnd until you have 13 sts between markers. After last increase, work 2 more rnds in pattern without any increases. Remember to change the direction of <igags in every 7th rnd according to the instructions in tbe pattern stitcbes or chart. You should finish on rnd 9. Next rnd: work as established until mB, slip 13 sts between markers to waste yarn or small stitch holder, work as established until the end of rnd = 46 sts.
Right Thumb Gusset
In the next rnd you will establish zigzag pattern (beginning with rnd 7 of zigzag stitch) and start increases for thumb gusset. Rnd 1: k2, \*k2, right twist\*, repeat 5 times, k3, pmB, m1R, pmB, k until the end. Rnd 2: k2, \*k2, sl1wyb, k1\*, repeat 5 times, k3, smB, k1, smB, k until the end. Rnd 3: k2, \*k1, right twist, k1\*, repeat 5 times, k3, smB, k1, smB, k until the end. Rnd 4: k2, \*k1, sl1wyb, k2\*, repeat 5 times, k3, smB, m1R, k1, m1L, smB, k until the end. Rnd 5: k2, \*right twist, k2\*, repeat 5 times, k3, smB, k3, smB, k until the end. Rnd 6: k2, \*sl1wyb, k3\*, repeat 5 times, k3, smB, k3, smB, k until the end. Keep working as established increasing sts in every 3rd rnd until you have 13 sts between markers. After last increase rnd, work 2 more rnds in pattern without any increases. Remember to cbange the direction of <igzags in every 7th rnd according to the instructions in the pattern stitches or cbart. You should finish on rnd 3. Next rnd: work as established until mB, slip 13 sts between markers to waste yarn or small stitch holder, work as established until the end of rnd = 46 sts.
Glove Body (both gloves)
Continue working in the pattern until glove body measures 4 cm / 1.5" for small size and 4.5 cm / 1.75" for large size, or desired length (it should reach the knuckle of your little finger), finishing on rnd 11 (left mitt) or rnd 5 (right mitt) of zigzag pattern. Knit one round.
Shape Fingers (both gloves)
Note: Tbe instructions for shapingfingers cover botb gloves at the same time.Follow the numbers in brackets if you're making the rigbt glove. Every time wben you join sts for working in the roundremembertoplaceaBORmarker.
Index (Little) Finger
Rnd 1: k6 (5), move next 17 (18) sts to one holder, move next 17 (18) sts to another holder, using Backwards Loop Method CO 2 sts, k6 (5) =14 (12) sts. Rnds 2-9: knit. Rnds 10-14: \*ktbl, p1\* around. In the next round loosely BO all sts in pattern.
Middle and Ring Fingers
Move sts 6 from one holder to the 1st dpn, place all but last 6 sts from another holder on the 2nd dpn. Rnd 1: attach yarn at the base of index (little) finger and pick up and knit 2 sts, k6, using Backwards Loop Method CO 2 sts, k6 = 16 sts. Rnds 2-9: knit. Rnds 10-14: \*ktbl, p1\* around. In the next round loosely BO all sts in pattern.
Little (Index) Finger
Move sts from both holders to dpns. Rnd 1: attach yarn at the base of ring (middle) finger and pick up and knit 2 sts, k10 (12) = 12 (14) sts. Rnds 2-9:knit. Rnds 10-14: \*ktbl, p1\* around. In the next round loosely BO all sts in pattern.
Shape Thumb (both gloves)
Rnd 1: move 13 live sts from waste yarn or stitch holder to dpns, pick up and knit 3 sts along mitt's edge = 16 sts. Rnds 10-14: \*ktbl, p1\*, around. In the next round loosely BO all sts in pattern.
Finishing
Weave in all loose ends. If you wish to, you might block the gloves, but it's not really necessary. Enjoy!
