Owlie cable keeper I was looking for a way to get rid of a lot of leftover yarn from projects and this is what came of it.

Yarn: I used worsted for this project, but like I said any scrap will do. Needle: I used whatever size I wanted. This really is a make it your own. I think thought I may have used US 7 (4.5 mm). Extras: Tapestry needle to weave in ends. One button. Thread to attach button. Cable needle. Four small buttons for eyes Or four small googly eyes Scrap yarn for the beak if you choose to have a beak. Abbreviations: CO- cast on. K- knit P- purl C1F- slip one stitch on the cable needle and hold to the front, knit next stitch and then knit the stitch from the cable needle. C1B- slip one stitch on the cable needle and hold to the back, knit the next stitch and then knit the stitch from the cable needle. BO-bind off. CO -8sts. Row 1: K2, P4, K2 Row 2: Knit Row 3: K2, P4, K2 Row 4: K2, C1B, C1F, K2 Row 5: K2, P4, K2 Row 6: Knit Row 7: K2, P4, K2 Row 8: K2, C1B, C1F, K2 Row 9: K2, P4, K2 Row 10: Knit Row 11: K2, P4, K2 Row 12: K2, C1B, C1F, K2 Row 13: K2, P1, K2, P1, K2 Row 14: K2, P4, K2 Row 15: Repeat row 1-14.
