Easy-to-Knit Fingerless Mitts Pattern for Beginners and Intermediate Knitters

DAILY GAZETTE

BY STEVEN HICKS The simplest of shapes—-a tube with a hole on the side—-makes an easy-to-knit pair of fingerless mitts. Knit flat and seamed together, these mitts are perfect for anyone from a beginning knitter who wants to move beyond scarves to an intermediate knitter who wants quick and easy gifts. Garter stitch naturally stretches vertically. Turning garter on its edge and knitting flat makes a mitt that will stretch and shape around a wide variety of hand, wrist and arm sizes.
