The pattern is a copy of the hat that little Angmo is wearing in the picture. It was was knitted by her mother Dolkar. The pattern may have an European origin. Size: child

About 65g yarn, that will obtain gauge - 4 dpn's size 3,5 or 4 mm/US #4, #5 or#6
Gauge:
16 sts x 24 rounds = 10 cm/4 inches

PATTERN:
CO 72 sts, divide over 3 needles and connect in the round
Brim:
Rnd 1- 8: purl Rnd 9 - 16: knit TIP: If you don't like to purl, knit the first 8 rounds, then turn work inside out and knit 8 more rounds. Problem: after turning , the working thread will be on the wrong side. To fix this (and prevent making a hole), do like this before turning: yarn forward, slip 1 st, yarn to the back (stitch is now wrapped), slip stitch back. Turn work, knit till last wrapped) stitch and knit sts and yarn together.
