Little York Beret
By Sheena Fennell I wanted a hat that was feminine and sophisticated enough for all ages. IntroducingLittleYork! You will need: 150 yards of yarn, either DK or worsted 3.5mm circular or dpn needles 4.5mm circular or dpn needles darning needle stitch marker, or spare yarn.
Stitch Key:
Sl1 k2 psso: This pattern involves a somewhat confusing slip stitch. You slip the stitch, knit two stitches then passed the slipped stitch over both of your knit stitches. I have written this as Sl1 k2 psso (slip one, knit two, pass slipped stitch over both knitted stitches) yo:yarnover

More length will give you more slouch. 6.5" won't be super slouchy but will have a beret shape once it is blocked.
