MATERIALS:
Hook size I/5.50mm 14-16" Baby/Toddler Sl st slip stitch Ch chain Sc single crochet Dc double crochet Tc triple crochet St's stitches Note:The Pattern techniques are for a Basic Beanie, But you can do this Pattern in the round just by using a Stitch Marker, when you come to the end of each round leave out the slip stitching to join part, make sure you move your Marker up with every round.
Beanie:
Using a magic circle, and your Black yarn work 6 hdc, sl st to join. Now using your stitch marker. Row1. 2 hdc in each st around. do not sl st to join(work in the round from not on) Row2. \*2 hdc in first st, hdc in next st. \*repeat around. Row3. Change Color to Red with a sl st and work \*2 hdc in first st, hdc in next 2 st's \*repeat around. Row4. \*2 hdc in first st, hdc in next 3 st's \*repeat around. Row5. \*2 hdc in first st, hdc in next 4 st's \*repeat around. Row6. Change Color to Black with a sl st and work \*2 hdc in first st, hdc in next 5 st's \*repeat around. Row7. \*2 hdc in first st, hdc in next 6 st's \*repeat around. Row8. Change Color to Red\*2 hdc in first st, hdc in next 7 st's \*repeat around. Row9-10. hdc in every st around. Row11-12. Change Color to Black and hdc in every st around. Row13-15. Change Color to Red and hdc in every st around. Row 16. Change Color to Black..\*\*\*But you going to turn your work so that your going in the other direction (this is going to be the flip part of your beanie) Continue with the hdc in every st , including your next row 17. Row18-20. Change Color to Red and hdc in every st around. Sl st to finish off. If you would like it longer just keep going with the same pattern. Now just add the embellishment of your choice.
