Club Penguin Tank Top and Shirt Crochet Pattern Created by Melissa Trenado
You will need...
Yarn color of your choice in the same thickness of your penguin Size D 3.25mm or same size crochet hook used for your penguin StitchMarkers Yarnneedle Stitches and Abbreviations used.. Ch - chain Sl - slip stitch Sc - single crochet St - stitch Sts - stitches Rpt - repeat Inc - increase, 2 sc in the same space Dec - decrease or sc2tog (single crochet 2 together) Note : All pieces are made in a continuous spiral unless other wise stated. Tank Top Chain 40 Rnd 1 \~ join with a sc in the first ch made, creating a loop, being careful not to twist. Sc around in the remaining ch spaces (40 sc) Rnd 2 \~ ch 1, turn, inc in the 1st st, sc in 9 sts, inc in the last st (13 sc) Rnd 3 \~ ch 1, turn, inc in the 1st st, sc in 11 sts, inc in the last st (15 sc) This will be the back side of the shirt Continuing in a spiral (not turning), ch 8, skip 8 sts, sc in the next 13 sts, ch 8, skip 8 sts. (44 sc) You have now created arm (flipper) holes
Rnd 4 sc in the next 5 sts, inc / rpt around, sc in the last 2 sts (51 sc) Rnds 5-9 \~ sc around (51 sc) Sl in the next st, fasten off. Weave in all loose ends. Your tank top is now complete! You can add ruffles or anything else you desire! This is how the backside will look.
Shirt
To create the shirt first you will need to repeat all the steps for the tank top.
For the left sleeve
Rnd 1 \~ Join with a sc in the 1st stitch of the underarm and across (8 sc) Continue crocheting around the top of the sleeve (8sc + 8sc = 16 sc) Add 2 sc to the rows of the back of the shirt (as pictured below (18 sc total)
Rnd 2 \~ continue crocheting in a spiral Sc in 2 sts, dec / 2 times, sc in the remaining 10 sts (16 sc) Rnds 3-4 \~ sc around (16 sc) Sl in the next st, fasten off. Weave in all ends.
For the right sleeve
Rnd 1 \~ Sc in the last st of the underarm, then add 2 sc in the back rows (as pictured below). Sc in the 8 stitches on the top and the remaining 7 sts on the bottom (18sc)
Rnd 2 \~ sc in 10 sts, (sc in 2 sts, dec) 2 times (16 sc) Rnds 3-4 \~ sc around (16 sc) Sl in the next st, fasten off. Weave in all ends. The back of your penguin's shirt should look like this.
