Pattern notes
Gauge is approximate, just make sure it is close. The important measurement is the length of the neck warmer. Make sure to work it to the length you would like before working buttonholes. The nature of this stitch pattern will create shaped selvedges that will not be straight and will look like alternating scallops.

FINISHING Buttons
Lay the finished neck warmer down wrong side up. Next, fold the two ends to the center and overlap by placing the buttonhole band over the other band. Mark where the buttons should match up to the buttonholes by pinning the safety pins. Sew the buttons in place using tapestry needle and a strand of the yarn. If the holes in the buttons are not large enough for the tapestry needle, use matching sewing thread and needle.
