Piranha Plant Key Cozy A Pattern by Sheila Toy Stromberg

Pattern Notes: This key cozy is worked mainly in once piece. Work is initially set up in the round, but is actually worked in turned rows after the initial set up. A white edging is then added for the plant's lips. Leaves for a base are optional. The key cozy has an opening at the base so you can slip your key in and a hole for your key ring to go through. Be sure to check your gauge, as it's pretty important in this project! You don't want a key chain that won't fit your key! Finished measurements: 1" wide and 1" tall unstretched. This should fit very snug on a standard size house key. If you are making this for a larger key, you will have to adjust the gauge. Hook: Us Size 3/2.1 mm. Yarn: Size 3 -5 (light fingering) weight crocheting thread in 3 colors, 50 yard main color, 15 yard each contrast colors. Gauge: 10 single crochets and 11 rows = 1" square Notions: Tapestry needle.
