Sparkle Scarf

This is a lacy scarf I designed to go with some pink sparkle shoes. You are not required to use beads, but they do make it sparkle. At this time, this pattern is charts only, no written instructions. The scarf is double-bordered. You knit the two borders at the same time as the middle section. There is no seaming or finishing besides blocking. Beads are placed per stitch using a small crochet hook or your tool of choice. For the first one, I used Lichtfaden Chocho Tussah lace yarn and size 6/0 rose-lined beads. Any lace or fingering weight yarn would look lovely.
Materials:
400-500 yards of laceweight yarn. You can make a longer scarf with more yarn. Estimated size is 72x8 in. 4006/0beads US 5 circular or straight needles Crochet hook for placing beads
Cast on:
Cast on 46 stitches with a stretchy cast on. I used the crochet cast-on. Turn and knit one row. Begin the chart with row 1. Knit the vertical repeat section, indicated by the orange lines, as many times as you want. I repeated it 35 times. The purple vertical lines are for visualization aid purposes only. I recommend putting a stitch marker to represent each purple line. This will help you follow the chart a little better. Because of the double border, you actually start the first row of the right-hand border at the end of row 2. The right-hand border lags one row behind. Since the lace is garter stitch, this is not noticeable, but it's important to note while knitting to help keep track of where you are. I also recommend using a stitch marker on the “right" side of the piece to help indicate whether you are working the “right" or “wrong" side (even though the scarf is actually reversible).

Chart: Shaded stitches represent bead placement AFTER knitting; orange lines indicate vertical repeat; purple lines for visual help only, recommended stitch marker placement.

Finishing:
After completing your desired number of vertical repeat, knit rows 25-38; final row is a knit row. Bind off using a stretchy bind-off. I used k2, k2togtbl; \*k1, k2togtbl\*; cut yarn and pull through final stitch. Weave in ends; soak in tepid water and block.
