Place the right needle from the left to the right in the back of the stitch on the left needle and purl. This process twists the stitch and makes it much tighter.

NOTES

This pattern is written specifically for working in the round using a set of 5dpns, 4 holding the stitches and one to knit with. The needles are numbered from 1 - 4 in the order that they are worked. However if you prefer magic loop then when you are reading the pattern simple adjust as follows - your front group of stitches are equivalent to needles 1 & 2 and the back group are equivalent to needles $3\,\&$ 4. Step 1: Go into the first stitch on the front needle as if to purl and then into the first stitch on the back needle as if to knit. Leave both stitches on the needle. Step 2: Go into the first stitch on the front needle as if to knit, pull the stitch off the needle. Step 3: Go into the second stitch on the front needle as if to purl, leave stitch on the needle. Step 4: Go into the first stitch on the back needle as if to purl, pullthe stitch off of the needle. Step 5: Go into the second stitch on the back needle as if to knit, leave the stitch on the needle. Repeat steps 2 - 5 until all stitches are woven
