Yarn: Rowan Cotton Glace 5og in each Green and Brown Hook: 3.5mm or size to obtain tension Tension: Finished tree measures cm high and cm wide (without trunk) Other Materials: 100 size 6 beads in each Red and Gold, 10 plain white cards with envelopes, 10 gold sequin st glue, yan needle. Special Abbreviations: fdc = foundation double crochet. Insert hook into stitch, yoh and pull up a loop (this creates a chain). yoh again and pull yarn through one loop on hook. yoh and pull through all loops on hook. For th next fdc, insert hook into chain made by first yoh, and continue as before. Notes: All quantities given are enough to make 10 cards. Beads are placed BETwEEN stitches on wrong side row Chart shows positions for beads.
Instructions:
Thread beads on to Green yarn in this order, or randomly: rgrggrrgrggrgrrgrgr. While working the tree, place beads acording to chart.

Trunk:
Hold tree upside down with Rs facing. Join yarm in seventh ch bump along from right edge. Row 1: ch 1, dc in same ch bump, and 3 more ch bumps along. 4 dc Row 2: ch 1, turn, dc in second, third and fourth dc. 3 dc Row 3: ch 1, turn, dc in second and third dc, fasten off.
Assembly:
Sew in ends on Ws. Block lightly. Glue tree to card, glue sequin star to top of tree over the last ch 1 stitch. Allow to dry.
