Jane and John Doe Socks
This is really just another pattern for generic socks. These have about an inch of twisted ribbing on the cuff and an eye of the partridge heel flap.

Row 2: S1, P3, P2tog, P1. Turn work. Odd rows (right side): S1, K to within one stitch of gap. SSK, K1. Turn work. Even rows (wrong side): S1, P to within one stitch of gap. P2tog, P1. Turn work. Continue until all heel stitches have been worked. Last row will be a wrong side row. Gusset: between heel flap and instep. Knit across instep. Pick up and knit 1 stitch between instep and heel lap, and 17 stitches along edge of heel flap. Decrease round: Knit to last two stitches of first gusset, Ktog. Knit across instep. SK, then knit to the end of the round. Plain round: knit all titches. Continue alternating decrease and plain rounds until 64 stitches remain. Foot: Continue in plain stockinette until foot is 2 inches shorter than desired length. Toe: Decrease round: For first half (top or sole) K1, SSK, knit to last three stitches of half, K2tog, K1. Repeat for the other half (sole or top). Plain round: knit all stitches. Continue alternating decrease and plain rounds until 28 stitches remain. Graft toe closed. Weave in ends.

Row 4: same as row 2. Repeat rows 1 through 4 for eight more times. Yarn: Mirasol Hacho or any heavy fingering weight Needles: $2.5\;\mathrm{mm}$ / US 1.5 Gauge: about 8 sts/in Size: approximately a man’s 11 Leg: Cast on 64 stitches. Join, being careful not to twist. K1tbl P1 for 10 rounds. Knit rest of leg in plain stockinette to desired length. Heel flap: At the end of a round, turn work. S1, P31. Row 1: S1 K1 to end of row, turn work. Row 2: S1, purl to end of row. Row 3: S1, $^{*}\mathrm{S}1\,\mathrm{K}1^{*}$ to last stitch. K1. Turn work. Turn heel: Row 1: S1, K16, SSK, K1. Turn work. Row 2: S1, P3, P2tog, P1. Turn work. Odd rows (right side): S1, K to within one stitch of gap. SK, K1. Turn work. Even rows (wrong side): Sl, P to within one stitch of gap. P2tog, P1. Turn work. Continue until all heel stitches have been worked. Last row will be a wrong side row. Gusset: Knit across heel stitches. Pick up and knit 19 stitches along edge of heel flap, plus 1 stitch between heel flap and instep. Knit across instep. Pick up and knit 1 stitch between instep and heel flap, and 19 stitches along edge of hee flap. Decrease round: Knit to last two stitches of first gusset, K2tog. Knit across instep. SK, then knit to the end of the round. Plain round: knit all stitches. Continue alternating decrease and plain rounds until 64 stitches remain.
