OLEANDER
by Maggie Vremec ...easy knitting for busy people..

Very simple knitting, combinationg of purl stitch and cables with a large collar in neither red nor purple colour.
Measure: M
Length from shoulder: $62\;\mathrm{cm}$ Bust measure: from 80 to $90\;\mathrm{cm}$ Gauge: 18 sts $\mathbf{\nabla}_{\mathbf{X}}\,29\,\mathbf{r}$ for $10\,\mathrm{cm}$ Material: about $\mathbf{430\,g}$ Original model material: Sportimo, $100\,\%$ polyacryl, colour 0474. partie nr. 490, 4 and $^{1}\!/\!4$ skeins Needles: nr. EU 4,5, circular needle o dbp needles n. 4,5 Stitches: purl, knit, rib, cables
Front
Cast on 82 sts. Knit double rib for $7\;\mathrm{{cm}}$ After that do 11p,4k, 10p,4k, 10p, 4k, 10p,4k, 10p,4k, 11p.Make cable twist every $10^{\mathrm{th}}$ row. After $4^{\mathrm{th}}$ cabletwist add 5times one stitchonboth sides (at the beginning and on the end of the row) in each $4^{\mathrm{th}}$ row, so that you have 92 sts on your needles. After about $44\,\mathrm{cm}$ start armhole decreasing: $\mathbf{1}\times\mathbf{4}$ $\mathbf{1}\times\mathbf{3}$ $\textbf{1x2}$ sts on both sides, that's 9 sts all together, obtaining in this way 74 sts. About $12\,\mathrm{cm}$ after armhole beginning bind off for the neckline: central 12 sts and on both sides: $\textbf{5x2}$ and $\textbf{1x1}$ sts, (i.e. 34 sts in total.). Hint: I always make one sleeve first and measure it with the front from armhole up, to be sure to fit perfectly. When you have the right high of the front part for you sleeve (in original model $24\;\mathrm{cm}$ from the beginning of the arm hole to the top of the shoulder) bind off 20 sts on each shoulder or leave them on your needles if you are used to grafting.
Back
The number of the sts, increasing and decreasing is the same as for the front. There are no cables, only pure purl titch. No neck line shaping, just 1 to $1{,}5\;\mathrm{cm}$ from the top bind off central 30 sts and then $1\mathrm{~x~}2$ sts on each side, i. e. 34 sts in total. Bind off 20 sts for both shoulders.
Sleeves
Cast on 44 sts. Knit double rib for $7\;\mathrm{{cm}}$ Pass to purl stitch.Add 1 st on both sides of a row 9 times each $6^{\mathrm{th}}$ row and 9 times each $4^{\mathrm{th}}$ row, adding in this way a total of 36 sts. Now you have 80 sts on your needles. When you are $47\;\mathrm{{cm}}$ from the beginning (attention! - this measure depends on the length of your arms and can be different) of the sleeve bind off: 1x3 5x2 $\bf{11\times1}$ 3 x2 1x3 1 x 14 sts.
Collar
I made it separately in flat knitting way, but can be also made on circular or dbp needles. In original pullover I casted on 164 sts and made 4 rows of double rib. Than I added one stitch between every coupple of knit sts of the ribbing. So I obtained 205 sts od $2\mathsf{p}\,3\mathsf{k}$ double rib. Knit for about $7\;\mathrm{{cm}}$ .Bind off all sts. I sewed a collar to the pullover, joining together the extremes of the collar. You can also pick up 164 sts with dpb or circular needle and do the same adding, if you prefer circular knitting. Final result shoul be like this:

I didn't fix the collar to the pullover, it lies on it just the way I like. If necessary, you can sew the collar to the pullover.
Finishing
Seam all the parts together.
